Bikes and Beaches

I just spent a few days over on Hornby Island riding my bike and beach-combing. I had always heard good things about the place but never had the chance to go there until now. If you get the chance to go, do it. It gets busy in the next few months, but it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The calm before the storm I think.
Hornby Hideaway

Helliwell Provincial Park

Friendly green bike trails.

Lots of these guys.

Local flavor.

A 3 ferry journey from the mainland.

Yum!

Eagles everywhere.

... and deer.

Super interesting coastlines...

... and creatures!

Cycling by the sea.

The thickest bark I think I've ever seen.

Whaling Station Bay - just add a Corona.

Grassy Point sunset.

Farewell Hornby!
