Operation Golden Eagle

Last week I spent a few hot and dusty days in Pemberton helping shoot scenes for a short film that Lukas Huffman is directing. Lukas has been going to school in New York learning all about the ins and outs of making films. He brought in Whistler Creek Productions to shoot it so it was pretty much a bunch of friends working together. It was good to see some faces I haven't seen in a while and see some camera rigs I hadn't seen up close before. Watch for Operation Golden Eagle at a filmfest near you.

Car chase!
Christian, Lukas & Shin eyeball the remote heli rig.
Action!
Stu keeping the whole thing moving. Lukas "directing."
Gabe tweaks the car mount while Shin stands in.
Kearns makes a rare appearance on the mainland.
Oops.

Puppies, Bulldozers & Hell's Angels...

Things are getting weird in Germany. Check this out.

NMN

One of the first punk shows I saw in Vancouver when I was growing up was a bill with Nomeansno. I guess I got hooked from the start. Being from Victoria, they played in Vancouver fairly often and I would go and see them every chance I could. Fast forward 20 something years and not much has changed aside from the frequency they play in Vancouver. The band played a Canada Day show recently and I made the trip to the city to see them one more time. They put on a great show as always. Making music together for over 30 years now the Wright brothers continue to write new material and tour it around the world. Here's a poster from the first show I saw in '85 and the last one a few nights ago.
