TEDx

I was recently fortunate enough to work on the TEDxGabriolaIsland. If you're unfamiliar with TED go here. The event took place at The Haven. This place has been very good to me lately so I was happy to help out with video at the TEDx. The event was a big success. There's already talk of doing another next year.

We shot 4 cameras so I think we covered it well. The edits should be up soon. I'll post links when they go up. Thanks to Sean Kearns for getting me involved and everyone that helped put this together.

A Day in Vancouver

I spent a Sunday in the big city recently. Mostly in Chinatown for the Lunar New Year Parade. I can't remember the last time I watched a parade. Good times downtown!

28th L.B.S.

This past weekend saw the running of the 28th Annual Mt. Baker Legendary Banked Slalom. Every edition is special, but this year's was truly legendary. Here's just one feel good moment.

Classic Lineups

I used to drool over old 80's gig flyers and posters from California with lineups of legendary punk bands. All these amazing bands playing the same show. Check out these bills!

I grew up in Vancouver and was lucky to see D.O.A. and Nomeansno fairly often in the 80's and onward. They'd share the same stage all the time. At the time I didn't fully realize how classic that lineup was. Here's a show that slipped by me back in the day. Talk about a bill! D.O.A., Nomeansno and Slow all in one night. Damn!

I recently saw D.O.A. in Cumberland on their "last" tour. Great show by Joe and his boys. Nomeansno is playing a handful of B.C. shows in late February and early March. Go see them if you can. Still an amazing live show.

BJ Leines' IP2
